SAS held the first IDSSP commitee meeting on January 10th. All the necessary jobs were signed up for by volunteers.

Next months discussion topic: Nancy Atkinson, regional NASA ambassador, will give a talk on the latest happenings at NASA.

Treasury Report:   Darren handed out the latest numbers for the last time as he handed over the books to our new treasurer Jim Rosenthal.

Planning and Grants:  No Report.

Observing Program:  No Report.

Light Pollution Committee: No Report.

Public and Private Events: Messier Marathon will be March 24th-25th at the Jim Edgar Pather Creek State Park.

Star Party: The dates for next years star party are Sept 21st - 24th. For the very first time we will be giving the public a way to pay for the star party via PayPal on our online registration form.

Tonights discussion topic was "Planetarium Software". SAS Member Gary Woerner handed out web site addresses of many of the most popular planetarium software packages available.

The meeting was adjourned at 9pm.
