Updates

SAS will be hosting another Messier Marathon this March 11th - 12th at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park. Camping for the two days will cost $10 and food will be $10. Please sign up for this event by March 1st.

Treasury Report:    A motion was made and passed to use the 2004 actualls as the budget for 2005.

Planning and Grants:  No Report.

Observing Program:  No Report.

Public and Private Events: SAS to host Messier Marathon March 11th - 12th.

Star Party: The new online registration form for IDSSP 2005 will be up soon. Tshirt design is being finallized. It will be a completely electronic registration this year.

Presentation

SAS welcomed Dr. Sandra Yeh of the Prairie Eye Center in Springfield. Dr. Yeh gave a presentation on LASIK eye surgury and answered questions about how this type of surgury may impact an observers view.
