Updates

SAS will be hosting another Messier Marathon this March 11th - 12th at Jim Edgar Panther Creek State Park. Camping for the two days will cost $10 and food will be $10. Please sign up for this event by March 1st. Both camp site have now been reserved and we have people from other clubs coming to this years event.

Treasury Report:    Darren gave an update on the balance and announced the creation of a "Building Fund" account. This account was kicked off with an anonomous donations of $25 and is for the future building of a dome for the club.

Observing Program:  No Report.

Public and Private Events: SAS to host Messier Marathon March 11th - 12th.

Star Party: The new online registration form for IDSSP 2005 is now open. Tshirt design has been finalized and is posted on the form.

Presentation

This months presentation was done by SAS member Fred Pilcher. The topic was Messier Marathon and how to see all 110 objects. Fred handed out Object Viewing Sequence Lists for goto scopes. Fred says that all Messier objects should be visible this year with the exception of M30 due to the dawn light.
